St Peblig's Church. Said to have been founded by Elen’s son. It is given a foundation date of 433 AD and claims to be one of the oldest churches in Wales.

Part of St Peblig’s churchyard was originally the Roman cemetery.

The Mithraeum was somewhere to the left side of this photo, excavated before the houses were built.
