I was
astonished to hear yesterday that all the tickets to the event at the Tower of
London sold out yesterday within hours of the details being announced.  I am so sorry that you have been disappointed,
those of you who were hoping to go to the ghostly evening. I hadn’t even been
given the details of the event myself, so hadn’t yet put it in my list.

 The mailing
went first to members of Historic  Royal
Palaces , so maybe one way of making sure in future that you know about events
at places like the Tower and Hampton Court Palace is to join. It is well worth
it; they have some wonderful speakers and who knows, maybe Alison and I will
get the chance to do a repeat performance at some time in the future.
